.
Places are on a first come first served basis.
.
The camp will be set over 4 days and due to many inquiries we have extended it to our younger age groups. We feel we offer a fantastic opportunity for our players to enjoy great coaching in a safe, fun and friendly environment.
.
The camp will be led by qualified teachers and coaches who all coach with the schoolboys and will be held at Cardiff University Sports Village at Talybont, Western avenue. The facilities include a 3G pitch, Astro turf and indoor futsal courts.

What a week…. Love it.
Some fantastic team and individual performances from our U11/14/15 squads.
We hope you all learned a lot from your experience and took many positives from playing at Fairwood….
There will be NO rolling subs in the final. We cannot promise all players will receive game time and we would appreciate your understanding of this situation. All players will have contributed during the season and although it can be frustrating to not get onto the pitch during this big match sometimes the game, score, injury’s and tactics can determine how things unfold.
If I could politely ask any players and parents to not approach the coaching staff with queries about game time after this match but to wait till the following day and speak personally with myself. I am always happy to address any queries but request you pick the right time and manner to voice any fair opinion.
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

Wales Ladies U19s 0-3 Cardiff & Vale U14s – Great result for our U14s in what has been a fantastic season for them. They played with great tempo and kept the ball fantastically well against the Wales national team. Also having the luxury of playing 3 U13s in the squad the players did themselves proud with a minutes silence before the game for former schoolboy player Stephen Healey.

It is with great sadness that we hear of the loss of a former Cardiff & Vale Schoolboy player Capt. Stephen Healey of the 1st Battalion, The Royal Welsh. Stephen was killed in Helmand Province, Afghanistan on Saturday 26th May. Stephen was a very talented footballer who played for Swansea City. His coach at Cardiff Schools, Richard Chidley (Ysgol Bro Morgannwg) paid tribute to him today saying he was an ”excellent player and a fine young man.” Our thoughts go out to his family at this time. In tribute to Stephen we will wear black armbands and have a minutes silence at our U14s match on Thursday against Wales U19s Women’s team.

U14s – Cardiff & Vale U14s 2-2 Swansea (Cardiff & Vale run out winners after beating Swansea on penalties 6-5)
.
A fantastic game of football k.o very early in TNS, Oswestry on Saturday. We departed at 5am from Cardiff ready for the big trip North.
The game started badly for C&V. Despite having the lions share of possesion and dictating the play we found ourselves a goal down after Swansea’s only attack of the game. The defence not taking the opportunity to clear the ball from the Swansea striker who was very dangerous when involved.
Again Cardiff took control of the game without ever really testing the Swans keeper. Lots of possession but the Cardiff strikers not really finding the cutting edge infront of goal.
Cardiff found themselves 2-0 down after Swansea’s 2nd attack of the game. A deflected shot taking the ball away from a stranded Elliot Matthews in goal. Cardiff now finding themselves 2-0 now and with a massive task of getting back into the game.
Again Cardiff took control of the game and worked the Swans in wide areas. The whole team playing well and Nathan Mathias and Alfie Gower running the show from midfield. Swansea were now looking to counter attack at every opportunity and Cardiff had a huge debt of thanks to pay to Elliott Matthews for saving Cardiff from going down 3-0 before half-time. That was the turning point!!!
Second half saw even more domination from Cardiff & Vale. Ulrich Emaleu and Ibi So Sani causing huge problems out wide. A free-kick awarded to Cardiff 35 yards from goal. Nathan Mathias stepping up and scoring in the top right of the goal. a quite amazing free-kick which was good enough to grace any final!!!
Game On – Cardiff now had their tails up and went on… Swansea pinned back and not testing Cardiff once. Rich Stephens popped up and angled the ball past the Swans keeper from 12 yards. 2-2. Cardiff sensed that with 10 minutes remaining we could go on and win. Cardiff in total domination now and Swansea clinging on. Final whistle came and went and we were onto pens. 2 great saves by Elliott Matthews saw Alfie Gower needing to step up and slot the ball home for Cardiff. He duly stepped up and put the ball to the keepers right. Game won!!! No more than the boys deserved….. Champions of Wales!!!!!!!!!!!
