CVSFA 2017/18 PRE-SEASON

.

.

Following on from the excellent introductory pre-season training sessions with the boys in midweek, we cannot wait to get started on preparing and working hard for the upcoming 2017/18 season with all of our players and teams.

.
In order to get the most benefit out of preseason training with each age group, we have decided on hosting 2 day training camp for all boys squads during the summer holiday.

.
The training camps will run from 9AM-3PM at Mary Immaculate High School, providing a fantastic opportunity for players & coaches to develop strong, early relationships ahead of the regular season.
The training camps will consist of a variety of technical training, physical fitness evaluation, & fun team bonding exercises, in a friendly, enjoyable, and football-filled environment. (Players will be expected to bring their own packed lunch).

The dates for the training camps are as follows:

.
01/08/2017 (Tuesday): U7s, U8s, U9s, U10s, U11s
02/08/2017 (Wednesday): U12s, U13s, U14s, U15s, U16s

30/08/2017 (Wednesday): U12s, U13s, U14s, U15s, U16s

Cardiff & Vale SFA provide a variety of training for our squads; including team training, technical futsal training and strength & conditioning sessions.
.
Monday training will be geared towards full squad training, where the players will have the opportunity to work tactically and technically with their Head Coach. We recommend that all players should aim to attend as many, if not all Monday sessions in order to give themselves the best possible opportunity of selection for competitive matches. These sessions will take place at Leckwith Stadium external 3G or House of Sport internal 3G.
.
Sunday will see our U7s,U8s,U9s & U10s squads receive their second weekly training session. These sessions will take place at House of Sport indoor 3G.
Times maybe subject to change, so please check the website or our social media accounts regularly.

.

Friday training will be focusing on a mixture of technical skill and strength & conditioning. By attending this session the players will be able to improve their individual football abilities through extra hours of technical training, as well as learning how to maintain a fit and healthy body by educating them on physical fitness and injury prevention. These sessions will take place at The House of Sport Indoor Training facility.
