Trials

Trials are now underway and we are delighted by the standard on show.

Thanks to all for your efforts. We have seen some fantastic players already!

.

On arrival at trials can all players please ensure they sign in. Once signed in players are encouraged to warm up independently to ensure once trials start they are ready and prepared properly.

.

Trials will consist of small sided matches where players will play for approx 40 mins. It is during this time that players are assessed.

Selectors are placed around the pitches and are assessing players as they demonstrate their ability.

Once players progress to trial 3 and 4 players will then be assessed in more detail and placed under more scrutiny in order to ensure we select players who are capable of being County standard.

.

As reference for players and parents we take the trial process very seriously. Each pitch has a pitch manager that looks after the players and player welfare. The selectors are situated around the pitches and have the task along with the Wales Regional Scout to select players.

.

The selectors are very experienced at Player ID and use the same methods that pro clubs and the National team use in identifying talent. The process is as thorough as possible and although may seem manic is run as professionally as possible. We thank you for your patience.

.

Unfortunately  due to the number of players that trial we will not be able to give any feedback regarding non-selection.

.

If parents have any queries regarding non-selection please contact your nominating school to seek information. It will be the school that we shall communicate with for child protection reasons.
